Beth Landis Violin Scholarship

DESCRIPTION
$5,000 for undergraduate or graduate music major whose primary instrument is violin.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:
  1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
  2. Two current letters of recommendation
  3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
  4. A highly detailed budget
  5. A biography
  6. A statement detailing how these funds would support attainment of career goals
  7. A high-quality recording 30-45 minutes in length, demonstrating familiarity and command of the instrument, including a contemporary work written within the last twenty years and contrasting works from different stylistic periods to fulfill the time requirement. Submission must  be via links to YouTube or other comparable sites provided to the online application system (YouTube preferred, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
  8. Copy of the score to the contemporary work, if unpublished
  9. List of the recorded repertoire with the following information:
    1. Exact titles, opus numbers
    2. Composers’ names
    3. Timings
  10. Recent programs and/or reviews
  11. $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
